PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system for a portable terminal device, which can easily charge the portable terminal device, even at a place where a person has gone to places of visits other than an office, a hotel, etc., and further, by which the agents concerned with a charge service can impose the rate of charge. SOLUTION: A charging system for a portable terminal device is equipped with a server 26, which is connected to a telephone switchboard 24 by a communication circuit 28, and a charging terminal 16 which is connected to the server 26 through a communication circuit 27 and the telephone switchboard 24. The charging terminal 16 is equipped with a circuit jack connecting detecting circuit 17 and a power source plug connection detecting circuit 18 which confirm the connection of the portable terminal device 11, a control circuit as a registration confirmation means which detects the existence of the registration of the portable terminal device 11 where the connection is confirmed by both circuits 17 and 18, a power supply circuit 21 which performs the charging with respect to the portable terminal device 11 where the registration is conformed, and a control circuit 23 as a rate request means which imposes the rate to the portable terminal charged. |
