PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for automatically judging a character which is difficult to be identified and enlarging/displaying it in display by a document compiling software. SOLUTION: Streak density in a part where streaks are most dense in characters on the respective characters is registered in a display auxiliary information dictionary 24. The character code of a candidate character which FEP(front end processor) 12 obtains against the input of a user is transferred to a character recognition supporting device 30. The character recognition supporting device 30 obtains information on the streak density of the candidate character from a display auxiliary information dictionary 24 based on the character code. A display size acquirement part 302 acquires the setting value of the character display size of an FEP line from FEP 12. An identification display propriety judgment part 310 judges whether the candidate character can be identified on display on the FET line based on the streak density and the display size of the FEP line. When it is judged that it cannot be identified, the candidate character is enlarged/displayed by an enlargement processing part 312. |
