PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain an increase in weight of a car body by forming a recessed part on the upper surface part of a cross member arranged along the car width direction on a car body floor, and providing a sensor of an air bag device in the recessed part. SOLUTION: A side sill 1 arranged on the car body side part is formed by welding a sill outer and a sill inner 3 to each other, and the end part of a floor 4 is welded to the side surface of the sill inner 3. A cross member 5 is arranged along the car width direction in a region of the floor 4 that corresponds to the lower side of the front seat. The cross member 5 is formed in such a manner as to have a hat-like section, and a recessed part 7 is formed on the upper surface part 6 thereof. Two weld nuts are provided at the bottom of the recessed part 7 a little to both ends and near the side sill 1, and a sensor 9 of an air bag device for side collision is installed on the base of the recessed part 7 by screws. Another weld nut 14 is provide on the front upper surface part 6 of the sensor 9, and a leg part 15 of the front seat is fitted to the weld nut 14. |
