PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve appearance without reducing tire performance such as dry gripping by providing extremely thin grooves having a specified dimension for preventing baring in a tread surface so as to prevent baring. SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire 2 includes, in its tread surface 2, extremely thin grooves 3 for preventing baring with a depth from this tread surface 2 set to 0.2 to 0.7mm and a width to 0.3 to 1.0mm. Among blocks 6A, 6B and 6C, extremely thin grooves 3s (3A, 3B and 3C) are provided respectively in the surfaces of alternate blocks 6A1, 6B1 and 6C1. The extremely thin groove 3A provided in the block 6A1 is continuously extended between longitudinal grooves 4A and 4A like Petri dish and opened between the longitudinal grooves 4A and 4A. If the extremely thin grooves 3B and 3C are continuously provided from a sharpest corner 7 to a lateral groove 20, continuity via the virtual extended lines L1 and L2 of the extremely thin grooves 3A, 3B and 3C is lost causing a deterioration in appearance, therefore these are made continuous from the vertical groove 4A of the sharpest corner 7 to a shoulder end E. |
