PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a ball hitting feeling, durability and tensioning capability, and improve a balance by transparentizing core yarn, main fiber yarn of skin yarn and a covering resin, forming residual fiber yarn of the skin yarn out of heat resistant fiber having low transparency and a specific melting point or a decomposing temperature, and forming a double helical structure when viewed from the circumferential direction of a string. SOLUTION: A string 10 is composed of core yarn 11, skin yarn 12a to 12f and multifilaments 13a to 13d. The multifilaments 13a to 13d are formed of heat resistance fiber, for example, polymethaphenylene isophthalic amide fiber having a melting point (a thermal decomposition temperature) not less than 270 deg.C. They are wound in a spiral shape at an angle of 25 to 40 degrees at equal intervals round the core yarn 11, and are fixed by a nylon yarn adhesive. The core yarn 11 is a monofilament of a copolymerized nylon of nylon 6 and 66, and the skin yarn 12a to 12f is formed of a monofilament of nylon 6. An excellent ball hitting feeling is obtained by this constitution.
