<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of an electronic blackboard by preparing a means to move an image reading means on a display screen, reading an image shown on the paper pasted on the display screen in response to an instruction, while moving the image reading means, and showing the same image as that shown on the paper on the display screen. SOLUTION: An electronic blackboard device contains an input detection device such as a transparent touch panel, etc., provided on the display screen of a display 1. A reading part 2 has built in a light source of a fluorescent lamp, etc., and a line image sensor such as a CCD, etc., and is moved along a rail 3 via a carrier mechanism that is driven by a motor, etc. When the start of reading is instructed by a control panel 4, a computer 5 turns off the display 1 and moves the part 2. The part 2 detects the position of the paper pasted on the display screen, based on the difference of reflection factors and reads the image shown on the paper for transferring it to the computer 5.
