<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color toner having satisfactory color reproducibility by producing a colorless or light-colored electric charge controlling agent and to obtain a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image capable of successively giving images faithful to latent images and images uniform in highlight parts even in use for a long period of time, very rapidly ensuring a proper quantity of electric charges, stably giving a high quality image even when the toner is allowed to stand at low humidity or high humidity, and hardly causing scattering. SOLUTION: This toner contains a cyclic compd. of phenol or its deriv. and aldehyde and is used for an image forming method in which a pattern of electric potential applied to a developing region formed by a latent image holder and a developer carrier confronting it is a pattern formed by superposing an AC component on a DC component by >=1 cycle and then applying only a DC component.</p> |
