PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sintered conductive material having satisfactory mechanical characteristics and oxidation resistance and usable as a highly stressed constituent element even in an oxidizing atmosphere at a high temp. SOLUTION: This electrically conductive and oxidation resistant ceramic material sintered in a liq. phase consists of a compsn. represented by the formula [Si3 N4 ]1-a-b ∼[SiC]a .[TiN]b (where 0.1 <=a<=1, 0<=b<=0.5 and (a+b)>=0.4) and a sintering aid selected from among Y2 O3 , oxide of a rare earth element, Al2 O3 Sc2 O3 , TiO2 and ZrO2 as additive and has >=0.1S/m specific electric conductivity at room temp. and oxidation resistance characterized by <=0.05mg/cm<2> weight increase after exposure to air at 1,000 deg.C for 100hr. |
