摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the resistance against deterioration due to ultraviolet radiation by laminating a flexible film of aromatic normal chain of polycarbonate resin blend containing a specified wt.% of ultraviolet radiation absorbing agent to the surface of a hard substratum of thermoplastic synthetic polymer resin exposed to weather. SOLUTION: A roofing wood shingle 10 has a laminated construction comprising a hard substratum 14 made by thermally forming a thermoplastic synthetic polymer resin such as an aromatic normal chain polycarbonate resin fully having a self-supporting ability and a flexible normal chain aromatic polycarbonate resin film 18 covering the substratum 14 at a side face 12. Thickness of the substratum 14 is advantageously to be 10 to 300 mil. Here, the aromatic normal chain polycarbonate resin contains 0.5 to 15wt.% of an ultraviolet radiation absorbing agent. And the film 18 should have the thickness of 1 to 10 mil and is laminated to the surface 12 of the substratum 14 for protecting the surface of the substratum 14 from the weather.</p>
