PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the installation of an outdoor apparatus on an outer wall face and prevent the outdoor apparatus from being driven or twisted by a wind. SOLUTION: An outdoor installation device of a separate-type air conditioner comprises a face contact portion 3 which is brought into contact with an outer wall surface and is secured to a bolt, a holding portion 4 which is mounted on the upper portion of the face contact portion 3 and extends laterally for receiving a first engaging portion mounted on the upper portion of the rear surface of an outdoor apparatus, and a posture holding portion 5 which is mounted on the face contact portion 3 at a position below the first engaging portion and restricts the front ward and backward movement of the lower portion side of the outdoor apparatus. In the above construction, the first engaging portion is descended to be engaged with the holding portion 4 from above while the holding portion 4 holds the first engaging portion upwardly. A second engaging portion which is mounted on the rear face of the outdoor apparatus at a position below the first engaging portion is descended to be engaged with the posture holding portion 5.
