PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently form a phosphor film with a proper thickness in an appropriate area by supplying phosphor liquid, in which phosphor grains are dispersed in a solvent, to a great number of recess parts on a substrate surface, turning the substrate upside down, and removing the solvent in the recess parts after holding the substrate for a predetermined time. SOLUTION: On the surface of a substrate 10, a great number of linear recess parts are arranged in parallel or a great number of dotted recess parts are arranged longitudinally and laterally, and into an opening of a recess groove 12 in each of the recess parts, a phosphor liquid 30 containing a liquid medium 34 and about 40-80% by weight of phosphor grains 35 is supplied from the upside so as to be formed into a concave lens shape below an upper edge part 12a of the recess groove 12. The phosphor liquid 30 is supplied by means of a discharge means provided with a discharge port, or alternatively, the phosphor liquids 30 in plural colors may be supplied from a plurality of discharge ports simultaneously. When the substrate 10 is turned upside down and held for a fixed time as it is, the phosphor grains 36 move close to the upper edge part 12a, and then, the liquid medium 34 is removed by heating by means of a heater 40 or by irradiation of radioactive ray and the like, and consequently, a phosphor film 38 is formed. By means of a phosphor liquid receiving part and a phosphor liquid returning means, the phosphor liquid 30 can be continuously fed to the recess groove 12. |
