<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device whose transfer efficiency is increased, so as to enable a transfer for all of one color with one carrying action, when the length of a printing paper is equal to or below the width of each color developing region. SOLUTION: In this device adopting an orthogonal transfer system, a toner image carried on a toner image carrier 1 extended in a direction perpendicular to the carrying direction of the printing paper 5 by plural rollers is transferred to the printing paper 5 in the direction perpendicular to the carrying direction of the printing paper 5 by a transfer counter roller 4 and the toner image transferred to the printing paper 5 is fixed. In such a case, it is constituted so that when the length of the printing paper 5 in its carrying direction is equal to or below a carrying distance for the printing paper 5 set to be the width or below of a developing region on the toner image carrier 1, in the carrying direction of the printing paper 5, a means 21 for making the carrying distance long is operated to make the carrying distance for the printing paper 5 longer by the width of a nondeveloping region held between the developing regions on the toner image carrier 1.</p> |
