PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor the abnormality of a contactor, inserted in a high voltage power line, by observing a temperature rise and prevent the operation failure of the contactor. SOLUTION: Thermosensors 9 and 10 are attached to the excitation coils 2d of a motor contactor 2 and the excitation coil 4c of a main contactor 4 respectively and the temperatures of the excitation coils of the motor contactor 2 and the main contactor 4 are monitored by a traveling controller 8 in accordance with signals from the thermosensors 9 and 10. If the temperature of the excitation coil exceeds a specified temperature, a warning lamp 11 is lit to give the warning to an operator and the failure caused by the defective operation of the contactor can be prevented. |
