PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the upstream dark current and background photo current of a read circuit by providing at least two covered plane active photoconductive detector element separated by a common layer. SOLUTION: The detector comprises a contact layer C2, active photoconductive layer D2, common layer contact layer Cc, active photoconductive layer D1 and contact layer C1 are laid on a substrate. When the detector is irradiated with e.g. a radiation RZ, the active layer D2 is first irradiated with the radiation. If the response of the layer D2 is so high, the layer D2 almost absorbs the radiation at wavelengths under question and the layer Cc acts to block a wavelengthλ. This enables application of a control voltage to the contact layers C1, C2. The active layer Cc is common to two detector elements composed of the active photoconductive layers. The layer C is held at a reference voltage and enables the detectors D1, D2 to detect created photo currents. |
