PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent heat resistance and insulation usable even in a high temperature area, and secure sufficient gas permeability on the inside by forming an insulated wire by performing a secondary covering by heat resistant fiber on a material by bundling a single insulated wire core or plural pieces by performing a primary covering by heat resistant fiber on a conductor, and covering its surface with a metallic skin. SOLUTION: High silicate glass fiber, silica fiber, alumina fiber, alumina-silica fiber or the like are cited as a primary covering. Materials exemplified as the primary covering are used as a secondary covering. It is desirable that a shielding rate is set not les than 81% in the primary covering and is set not less than 62% in the secondary covering. A method by a braid is preferable as the primary and secondary coverings to secure sufficient gas permeability on the inside of an electric wire. They can be used even in a high temperature area not less than 700 deg.C, and sufficient gas permeability can be secured on the inside, and for example, they can be suitably used for a lead wire or the like of an oxygen sensor installed in an exhaust manifold of an automobile. |
