PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect various resist displacements without increasing the number of resist sensors. SOLUTION: The image forming device, which disposes a plurality of image output parts 5-8 along an intermediate transfer belt 1 and can form a multicolor image by superimposing images of different colors onto the intermediate transfer belt 1 in order by means of the image output parts 5-8, are provided with the resist sensor 13 for reading resist-displacement-detection patterns P formed on the intermediate transfer belt 1 by the image output parts 5-8, a sensor moving mechanism 15 for moving the resist sensor 13 in a main scan direction X, and a controller 14 for driving and controlling the sensor moving mechanism 15 according to the positions where the resist-detection-patterns P are formed. |
