PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pull-switch pulling string for a luminaire which does not apply excess force to the luminaire main body, thereby prevent the luminaire main body from being detached or being dropped even if an operating grip is pulled strongly. SOLUTION: A luminaire main body 7 is equipped with a pull-switch main body 5 which is fixed thereon. The pull-switch main body 5 is equipped with a pull-switch pulling string 1 for operating itself. The pull-switch pulling string 1 is fixed to a keyhole shaped hole 3 of the fixture main body 7 at one end (a knot) 2 thereof, an intermediate part thereof extending from the hole 3 through a sliding ring 4 fastened to an operating rod 6 of the pull-switch main body 5 and, changing its direction reversely at the sliding ring 4, extends further until a position of the operating grip 9. A characteristic that the pull-switch pulling string 1 is released when excess tension over a limit is applied to the pull-switch pulling string 1 is given to the mechanism that the intermediate part of the pull-switch pulling string 1 is detained by the sliding ring 4. A characteristic that the pull-switch pulling string 1 is disengaged when a direction of the tension of the pull-switch pulling string 1 is changed in connection with the abovementioned release is given to the mechanism that the one end 2 of the pull-switch pulling string 1 is fixed by the keyhole shaped hole 3. |
