PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming material supplying system provided with an inexpensive and reliable toner level detecting system which is not blocked up or soiled by maintaining the detection not comparatively having blocking up, of an image forming material with an image forming material level detecting system. SOLUTION: An optical detecting system 20 prescribes a light beam effective between both of a photoreceptor 22 and a detector 24, at a previously set level for a passage through the lower part of a container 14 and imparts a high signal noise ratio. Since both of the photoreceptor 22 and the detector 24 are completely outside the toner supplying container 14, both of the photoreceptor 22 and the detector 22 can evade the problem of soiling with toner as well. Therefore, the absence of sufficient residual toner in the container 14 by the detection of light from the emitter 22 by the detector 24 can be transmitted to a machine controller 100, as a signal. Similarly, in interception detected by the detector 24 with the light beam 26, a signal that the sufficient residual toner exists in the supplying container 14 can be transmitted to the controller 100. |
