PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide superior exfoliative performance by providing a buffer layer having an interface layer which surrounds the outer surface of a first protection coating and contains surfactant and antifoamer. SOLUTION: A fiber 10 is provided with a core 12, a clad 14, a first protection coating 16, and a buffer layer 18. An interface layer 13 is existed between the first coating 16 and the buffer layer 18. The interface layer 13 forms a low frictional interface between the first protection coating 16 and the buffer layer 18 and is composed of a solid lubricant, a film forming binder, surfactant, and antifoamer. It is preferable that the interface layer 13 has higher adhesive property to the first protection coating 16 than the buffer layer 18. This constitution can easily exfoliate the buffer layer 18 from the fiber by leaving the interface layer 13 and the first protection coating 16 behind. |
