Tungsten resistance wire (1) of 0.25mm diameter is incorporated in the plastic visor (2) in a pattern suitable for the particular design shape. The two ends are brought out at the visor rim and connected to a flexible cable (4) with a jack connection to a convenient battery circuit. The circuit, entering the helmet via paired contacts, is automatically broken when the visor is open, and the final connection is made from the helmet. An electronic or manual controller may also be included.
