摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce man-hour needed for correction of the frequency characteristic and to improve the productivity by using a means which decides whether the frequency characteristic of an optical repeater is lower than a reference level and flattens the frequency characteristic of a test sine wave. SOLUTION: An optical receiver 14 of an optical repeater converts an inputted test sine wave into an electric signal. The test sine wave level detected by a frequency characteristic measuring device 16 is inputted to a frequency characteristic deciding device 17 and compared with a prescribed level, and a control signal B is outputted. A frequency characteristic equalizer 13 controls the test sine wave signal inputted from the receiver 14 based on the signal B, and the test sine wave that undergone the control of its frequency is outputted. Then the test sine wave is converted into an optical signal by an optical transmitter 15 and sent to the repeater that is connected to a following stage.
