摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately identify the position and state of an object being identified by reducing the influence of noise by setting a prescribed condition which permits the transition of the object to the position and state corresponding to the next detected pattern from the present position and state. SOLUTION: The detecting extends of ultrasonic sensors 3-6 on both the left- and right-side sections of a vehicle C are deviated from each other in the forward-backward direction on the sides of and diagonally behind the vehicle C and identify the position and state of an object O, such as another vehicle, etc. Then a head-up display 10 informs the crew of the object O of the position and state of the object O by displaying the position and state based on the position and state of the object O and, depending upon the position and state of the object O, a loudspeaker 11 produces an alarm. A prescribed condition which permits the state transition to the position and state corresponding to the next detected pattern from the present position and state of the object O being identified is set. When the condition is met, the transition to the position and state corresponding to the next detected pattern is permitted and, when the condition is not met, it is identified that the object O does not exist by regarding the detected pattern as an improper pattern, such as the noise, etc.</p>
