<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a picture to be seen in detail in magnified display even for a low resolution picture by plotting, with sub picture data in accordance with a set magnification, the prescribed area of the primary picture data displayed by a plotting means. SOLUTION: With the center point specified for magnification and reduction (S21), an area in the main picture is determined which is to be displayed actually in the picture display area from the position of that point, magnification after power variation, and the size of the picture display area (S22). A rectangular part determined in the main picture is magnified and displayed in the picture display area (S23). Attribute information data are read in (S26). With sub picture data stored in a separate file, that file is read in a memory (S28). The sub picture data are converted in color tone (S29). Presence/absence is examined of the part where the rectangle so determined is superimposed on the area with the sub picture displayed (S30). Plotting is performed, on the superimposed part, by over-writing on the main picture the sub picture corresponding to such part.</p> |
