<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio decoding device which can be used in a multiple processor multi-media system by providing a scalar processor and a vector processor, which sequentially convert non-sequential data into a sequential form and improve calculation speed. SOLUTION: A multi-media signal processor 104 is provided with a digital processor DSP core 202 connected to plural multi-media interfaces. The DSP core 202 is the calculation engine of the multi-media signal processor 104 and it is provided with a scalar processor 204 and the vector processor 206. The two processors 204 and 206 are efficiently used in parallel and decoding ability is improved. An audio decoder efficiently executes instructions which non- sequentailly operate by using a condition instruction and a scalar vector and converts non-sequentail data into the sequential form. Thus, the calculation force of the vector processor 206 can be used for the multiple processings.</p> |
