PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scan type microscope device capable of optically rotating an image around an image center at an optional angle regardless of movement of a view range. SOLUTION: This device is constituted so that deflection angles of light deflectors 52, 59 arranged between a laser beam source and an objective lens 53 are changed at a fixed ratio, and by revising a scan range on a specimen 62, optical zoom expansion at an optional magnification is made possible, and further, the view range of the zoom expanded image is positioned by offsetting the deflection angles of the light deflectors 52, 59, and moving the scan range, and further, when an image rotation prism 1 isθ-rotated by an image rotation prism rotary mechanism 2 for rotating the image of the scan range, though the scan range at this time is moved to another position, the deflection angles of the light deflectors 52, 59 are controlled simultaneously based on the rotation amount of the deflection prism 1 by the image rotation prism rotary mechanism 2 at this time, and the image is rotated around the image center.
