PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for nickel-hydrogen storage batteries in which adhesion strength between an anode electric collector and a hydrogen storage alloy powder deposited on the collector is enhanced, and the hydrogen storage alloy powder is suppressed from dropping out the anode plate, at the time of assembling a battery. SOLUTION: An anode 5 for a nickel-hydrogen storage battery consists of an electric collector body 1 and a hydrogen storage alloy powder 3 deposited on both faces of the collector and having 20μm average particle size. The collector is produced by forming V-shaped grooves 2 with 25μm depth, 25μm width, and at 2mm intervals from one another on both upper and lower side faces of a sheet, made of a pierced iron with 60μm thickness in such a manner that the grooves 2 do not overlap in the upper face and the lower face and forming a nickel coating with 1μm thickness on the whole surface of the upper and lower side faces, including the grooves 2. |
