PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery which has large charging/discharging capacity and capable of performing rapid charging/discharging by using a negative electrode and a positive electrode, which are obtained by the negative active material consisting of the sulfate of the metal (Sn, In, Pb or Ag), the conductive agent, and the binder, and the non-aqueous electrolyte in which lithium salt is dissolved in an organic solvent. SOLUTION: A negative active material consists of Mx (SO4 )y , Mx (PO4 )y , or Mx (HPO4 )y , Mx (P2 O7 )y , Mx (C2 O4 )y , Mx (CO3 )y , Mx (NO3 )y (where x is 1-2, y is 1-3). Negative electrode consists of 10-200 pts.wt. of conductive agent, such as graphite, 3-50 pts.wt. binder such as starch, and the filler, etc., with respect to 100 pts.wt. negative active material. A positive electrode consists of the transition metal oxide, etc., containing lithium as the positive active material. In addition, lithium salt such as LiClO4 is dissolved in the organic solvent, such as propylene carbonate to obtain the non-aqueous electrolyte. A secondary battery is constituted using the negative electrode, the positive electrode and the non-aqueous electrolyte. |
