PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing method by which non-magnetic one-component developer is not stuck to the surface of a developing sleeve, whereby developing characteristic that image density and surface fogging are excellent is obtained. SOLUTION: In this non-magnetic one-component developing method; the non-magnetic one-component developer is supplied to the developing sleeve, the thin layer of the non-magnetic one-component developer is formed on the surface of the developing sleeve by a layer regulating member, and charge is applied, and the non-magnetic one-component developer is brought into contact with a photoreceptor drum so as to develop an image and transfer it to transfer material. Relation A/B between the sleeve electrification amount A and the sleeve electrification amount B of the non-magnetic one-component developer on the surface of the developing sleeve is -23×10<3> to -42×10<3> (μc.cm<2> /g<2> ) under all the environment such as low temperature and low humidity environment where temperature is 10 deg.C and humidity is 20%RH, normal temperature and normal humidity environment where the temperature is 25 deg.C and the humidity is 50%RH and high temperature and high humidity environment where the temperature is 30 deg.C and the humidity is 80%RH. |
