PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably acquire a sharp image over a long period by effectively suppressing the scattering of a toner in performing transfer, what is called a blur, while making the best use of the characteristics of a High-γ photoreceptor and a linear photoreceptor. SOLUTION: This image forming method is provided with an electrifying process for electrifying a photoreceptor 1, an exposure process for forming and exposing an electrostatic latent image on the charged photoreceptor 1, a developing process for making the electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor 1 a visualized image and a transfer process for transferring a developed image visualized in the developing process to a transfer medium 6 in a specific transferring region (a region to which a transfer electric field is applied) S. In this case, a destaticization process for rapidly destaticizing the potential of a high potential part of the electrostatic latent image, while the developed image on the photoreceptor 1 passes through the transferring region S. Preferably as the destaticization process, a very small potential barrier is formed at least on a boundary between the high and low potential parts of the electrostatic latent image, when the developed image on the photoreceptor 1 rushes into the transferring region S. |
