PORTABLE COMPUTER EQUIPPED WITH BATTERY PACK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use battery packs of an extension type variously without altering the style and structure of a main body part by equipping a battery pack with a standard storage part for storing a standard number of batteries and an extension storage part for increasing the number of batteries. SOLUTION: The portable computer 1 is equipped with a main body part 2 and the battery pack. A standard type and an extension type are available as the battery pack and the extension type is compatible with the standard type. The battery pack 4A of the extension type is equipped with the standard pack 22 (standard storage part) and the extension pack 23 (extension storage part) for increasing the number of batteries and can be mounted on one edge of the main body part 2 by the same structure. Then any battery pack including the standard type has the power source connected to a computer system through a mount part when mounted, on the main body part 2. Namely, the mounting structure of the battery pack for the main body part 2 is made common to more than one kind of battery pack.
