<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively removing an asphalt-base coating which can improve the adhesion of a heat-shrinkable sheet and a method for repairing a pipe by using the same. SOLUTION: In a method for removing an asphalt-base coating laid on the outer periphery of a metal pipe to expose the metallic surface of the pipe, the main part of the asphalt-base coating is mechanically removed and the remainder on the pipe is burned ant then substance adhering to the pipe is separated.</p> |
