摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of a pad spring for energizing a friction pad by applying the constitution that the friction pad before operating a disc brake is preliminarily assembled with a caliper body nearer a disc turning-out or turning-in position. SOLUTION: The pin holes 14c and 14c of a back plate 14 are formed to be oblong and both of the pin holes 14c and 14c are arranged at the same inclination angle with both edges of the disc turning-in and turning-out sides of the back plate 14. Also, a friction pad 4 suspended from hanger pins 11 and 11 is sprung toward the disc radial inner side with a pad spring 12. A part of the springing force of the pad spring 12 toward the disc radial inner side acts on the friction pad 4 as a component force along a disc turning-out direction, in relation to the shape and inclined arrangement of the pin holes 14c and 14c. Thus, the friction pad 4 moves toward a disc turning-out direction as well, pushed toward the disc radial inner side, while the pin holes 14c and 14c having an inclined shape slide on the hanger pins 11 and 11. At the same time, the disc turning-out side edge 14e of the back plate 14 comes in contact with a torque receiving surface 3g at the disc turning-out side without any gap.</p>
