PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make ruggedness of magnified pixels inconspicuous even when font data are magnified with high magnification to be displayed on a screen. SOLUTION: Pixel blocks are held in respective registers of a data holding part 22 via a shift register part 20 to be inputted to a smoothing data addition deciding part 26. The smoothing data addition deciding part 26 decides it to add smoothing data to the addition area of a right-angled triangle including a vertex satisfying a condition that only pixel values of two pixel blocks being in contact with the vertex of the pixel block with lines are one among three pixel blocks being in contact with the vertex of the pixel block to make corresponding decision signals S300-S306 a logical value 1. Logical product circuits 300-306 respectively output only smoothing data corresponding to decision signals S300-S306 having the logical value 1 from among four pieces of smoothing data to be inputted from a smoothing data generating part 28. |
