PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a developing device which carries out satisfactory development by smoothly moving toner, recovered after development, to a main storage area from a temporary storage area. SOLUTION: Unnecessary toner on a developing roller 34 is scraped by a scraper 36, and accumulates on a bending sheet member 42. A turnable member 43 disposed at the lower end of the sheet member 42 is periodically turned by the stirring plate 47 of a main agitator 45 disposed in the main storage area 44, and, at the time, the sheet member 42 is temporarily stretched. The inclination of the sheet member 42 when stretched is set to an angle not smaller than a slip angle, at which the toner naturally falls into the main storage area 44. Thus, the toner can be moved to the main storage area 44 periodically. |
