SOLUTION: After photoresist 3 for a color filter formation is applied by covering black matrix 2 formed on a first substrate 1 having at least color filters of plural colors and the black matrix demarcating respective color filters in an inner surface, an exposure mask 4 having a mask pattern corresponding to the pattern of the color filters is installed at a side opposite to the applied surface of the photoresist 3 and the photoresist 3 is exposed with this exposure mask 4 and the black matrix.
