PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a sufficient sealing effect of a gasket of preventing an oil or air leak therethrough. SOLUTION: A gasket fastening structure requires screwing a gasket fastening bolt 10 at its externally threaded portion 11 coated with an agent 12 into a tapped hole 16 in a casing 15 to fasten a gasket 14 between the casing 15 and a presser member 13. The tapped hole 16 is formed at its inlet side with a recess 20 of inside diameters larger than the outside diameter of the externally threaded portion 11 of the bolt 10. The position of the end 12a of the coating agent 12 on the side of the bolt head on the externally threaded portion 11, and the depth of the recess 20 are set such that the end 12a is situated under the gasket 14 and inside the recess 20 just when the externally threaded portion 11 inserted in the recess 20 is screwed in the tapped portion. Because of which constitution, even the edge of an associated mounting hole in the gasket 14, which edge butts into the threaded grooves of the externally threaded portion 11 of the bolt 10 being screwed in the tapped hole 16, never shaves the coating agent 12, and moreover, shavings that are generated through the shaving of the coating agent 12 by the tapped portion near the inlet of the tapped hole 16 are held inside the recess 20. |
