PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a clearance by fixing a motor mounting screw after adjustment without dismantling an air conditioner and contrive the reduction of operating sound by a method wherein the motor mounting screw is positioned concentrically with the air flow port of a fan. SOLUTION: An air conditioner is constituted of a casing 5, receiving a heat exchanger 1, a fan 2, a motor 3 for the fan and a drain pan 4, and a decorative panel 8, having an air outlet port 6 and an air suction port 7. The fan 2 is provided with an orifice 9 at the suction port unit thereof while the motor 3 for the fan is received in the housing 11 of a fan main panel 10. In this case, the motor 3 for the fan is fixed to the casing 5 through the mounting table 12 of the motor while an air flowing port 14 is opened at the circumference of a motor mounting boss unit 13 and a motor mounting screw 15 is positioned concentrically with the air flowing port 14. According to this method, a clearance 16 between the orifice 9 and the fan 2 can be adjusted through a motor mounting screw 15 without dismantling an air conditioner by inserting a driver through the air flowing port 14 of the fan 2 after finishing the assembling work or installation work to adjust the screw 15. |
