PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reading and writing device by which the damage of an IC chip is prevented at the time of taking-out an IC card. SOLUTION: The device 10 is constituted in such a way that the IC chip is buried in a plastic card, the IC card 1 where a contact 2 is formed on a surface is contained inside a case 11 where a card inserting port 12 is formed in one end and a contact head 13 arranged inside the case 11 is electrically connected to the contact 2 of the IC card 1. In this case, a notched part 15 which escapes from a part where the IC chip is buried when the IC card 1 passes through is formed in the card inserting port 12. When the IC card 1 is drawn, an intensive load is not added by the notched part 15 so that the IC chip is not damaged. |
