PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the compound-eye camera provided with a stereoscopic display function where no high display speed (frame rate) is required in the case of displaying a stereoscopic video image. SOLUTION: The compound-eye camera 1 is provided integrally with image pickup optical systems 2, 3 and a display device 4, two images having a parallax picked up by the image pickup optical systems 2, 3 are split as stripes in a horizontal direction and arranged alternately by one line each to be synthesized with a stripe image and the stripe synthesis image is displayed on the display device 4 by an incorporated display control section. The display device 4 is configured to be sequential stacks of a back light 5, an aperture mask 6 having a chequer opening, lenticular lenses 7, 8, a PDLC 9, a display picture element section 10 and a glass board 11, and different directivity is provided to a display of an odd numbered line and a display of an even numbered line of a strip image and a stereoscopic vision is obtained at a prescribed view position. |
