PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect rejectable component efficiently while being arranged by mounting the rejectable component in an unused region when a rectangle for component can be contained in the unused region thereby reducing the unused region by an amount corresponding to the rectangle for component. SOLUTION: At first, the entire sheet is assumed to be an unused region S. When a rejectable component is detected, coordinates at a currently concerned point P are read out along with the lateral and longitudinal widths CX, CY of the type of rejectable component. If CX<=LX-A, it is stepped in the direction for mounting a sheet. Otherwise, it is shifted onto Y axis with regard to an origin, i.e., the X coordinate of the concerned point P and then it is stepped by the maximum longitudinal width M of Y axis B. Subsequently, the maximum longitudinal width M is reset to 0 and a decision is made whether CY<=LY-B is satisfied. When it is required to alter the maximum longitudinal width M, the longitudinal width CY of a current rectangle for component is substituted for the maximum longitudinal width M. Finally, the current rectangle for component is mounted on a sheet at the currently concerned point P and the X coordinate A of the concerned point P is stepped by an amount corresponding to the arranged rectangles for component. |
