The nebuliser (1) includes a base (2) which is fitted with a quartz wave emitter (5). Above the base, a tank (6) contains a liquid such as water (12) which is contact with an inner dish (9) containing a liquid to be nebulised (15) by air breathed by the patient. Anti-return valves (31,32) allow air to enter the nebuliser from an associated box (21) and to exit to atmosphere. The associated box (21) has air entry holes (22) and a pressure sensor (37) which is fitted with electroluminescent diodes (39) to give a progressive pressure indication.
