<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire extension sleeve with which a bending load applied to a wire when it passes through a hanging pulley can be relieved. SOLUTION: A wire extension sleeve has a cylindrical main part 1 which has openings at both of its end parts, a steel core compressing unit 2 which is provided in the main part 1 and connects the steel cores of wires which butt against each other in it by compression and a collar 3 which is made of steel and provided between the main part 1 and the steel core compressing part 2. The inner diameters of the neighborhoods of the openings of the main part 1 are gradually increased toward the openings. As the openings are deformed to expand when the sleeve passes through a hanging pulley, a bending load can be relieved so that the opening out between strands of the wire and breakage of strands can be suppressed.</p> |
