<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method for manufacturing the electrostatic charge image developing toner by a suspension polymerization method capable of efficiently obtaining the polymer toner easily controlable in average particle diameter and extremely sharp in particle diameter distribution. SOLUTION: The colored polymer particles to be used for this toner is produced by allowing a water-soluble polyvalent metal salt to react with an alkali metal hydroxide in an aqueous dispersion medium to produce a difficultly water- soluble metal hydroxide colloid, and after the lapse of >=4 hours from the end of the reaction, mixing the aqueous dispersion medium containing this metal hydroxide colloid is mixed a polymerizable monomer composition containing at least a polymerizable monomer and a colorant, and then, executing suspension polymerization of this polymerizable monomer.</p> |
