PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the wear of a rubber member in a developer layer forming device, to prevent the wear of a developing roller, to prevent bad influences on a toner and a developing roll and to avoid bad influences of a sulfur-based vulcanizing agent on the toner and the developing roll. SOLUTION: In this one-component developing device, a developer 4 supplied and deposited on the outer surface of a developing roller 2 is formed into a uniform developer layer of specified thickness, and a plate-type thin blade 7 is disposed near the developing roller 2 to scrape the developer supplied on the outer surface of the developing roller 2. The blade 7 consists of a diene rubber or a rubber containing no double bond in the main chain. The rubber material is prepared to limit the amts. of a softening agent and a plasticizer to specified minute amts. and to contain a vulcanizing agent except for a sulfur- based agent. |
