Quasi ionising of sample molecules

For a quasi ionising of sample molecules, in the gas phase, a chamber (1a) is used to develop primary ions where the sample molecules which can form a gas are taken in. A gas stream (7) is generated within the chamber (1a) where complexes of primary ions and sample molecules are formed in the gas phase. Also claimed is an apparatus with a chamber (1a) which contains a sample holder (2) for the sample containing the sample molecules and/or an ion donator. At least one evaporator changes the sample into a vapour and/or to generate primary ions from the ion donator. A jet assembly (5,5a,6,6a,6b,6c) with a jet (5,5a) forms a gas stream (7).
