Image system for medical diagnostics

The image system (8) displays image signals by device of a reproduction device (9) with an image memory (10) for the storage of images produced by the diagnostics arrangement (1 to 14) in image points. A window circuit (11) for a transformation of grey scale values of the image signal is formed in such way, that for the determination of the local contrast (LK) for each image point, a normalization is performed on the median value (M) of its environment and on the standard deviation (STDV). The normalized image points are super-imposed according to their location, for the conservation of a contrast image (KB). An adder stage (14) is connected with the image memory and the grey scale transformation circuit, in which the original image (ORG) and the contrast image are added with adjustable mixing degree. The output signal is supplied as a reproduction signal (E) to the reproduction device connected with the adder stage.
