Arrangement for ionising oxygen molecules in air with negative electrical charge

The arrangement has an ionizer with a thin pointed electrode on which high DC voltage levels are achieved. An a.c. circuit which supplies a rectifier in the ionizer contains a controller which does not permit the density of the negative oxygen ions in the air to increase to a level above a desired value.
