An electrical control apparatus, especially for heating apparatuses, has a housing (12) and at least two control units (61) each with a control shaft (13) supported in the housing that operates functional elements like cam switches, clocked power control apparatuses, etc. In the housing are provided the functional regions (62) establishing and incorporating the functional elements and at least one intermediate region (63) uncomplicated by the design lying between them, in the transverse direction to the control shafts. By different dimensioning of the intermediate region, control apparatuses with different distances between the control shaft axes can be manufactured. Functional units crossing the intermediate region(s) have connecting bridges of different lengths.
