The panel has a highly porous mineral body (5), with its surface (14) being averted from the wall (1). The averted surface is water repellent such that its surface (15) is water-impermeable and vapour-permeable. The panel body consists of calcium silicate and may have a porosity of at least 80%. The averted surface (14) of the panel may contain a water repellent which has silicon concentrate and forms a micro-emulsion. The panel is fixed to the wall by a water-permeable adhesive (6).
