SUBSTANCE: digging tool has fork-shaped member 3 with conical tips 4 rotating in counter directions and positioned at an angle to longitudinal-vertical plane of symmetry of working tool. Ripper 2 is made in the form of flat blade and mounted for movement in vertical plane and in the direction of advancement of harvesting machine. Cylindrical parts of fork-shaped member 3 are provided with eight root-engaging cylindrical catches 5 offset one with respect to another for an angle of 45 deg.
